It started with Rocky.
One dog. Severe eczema. Every bed on the market either irritated his skin or fell apart within months. So we built our own — and then we built one for every dog in our family.
The seven dogs pictured here are the seven we have loved and lost. This is for them.
KosieCare Pet Beds came into being after our dog, Rocky, had a severe case of eczema and joint problems. Normal bedding wasn't working for him — or for us.
We tried every orthopaedic dog bed on the market. None could do what he needed, and the ones that came close fell apart within months. We knew we needed a hypo-allergenic fabric that was tough, wouldn't need constant washing, and wouldn't irritate Rocky's skin. There wasn't a lot to choose from.
So we decided to develop our own bed — for Rocky, for dogs like Rocky, and for any dog living with arthritis or joint pain. Four years later those original beds are virtually as new, despite fourteen different dogs using them as trampolines along the way. No more padded beds. No more rebuying every winter.
With other beds, you have to physically take them apart to wash them. With ours, all you need is some soapy water and a mop. They dry almost instantly. That's it.

The seven dogs in the photograph above were our whole world. Each one had their own bed — picked out themselves, claimed quietly, returned to every evening. They taught us what a good bed feels like to a dog, because they showed us, every single day, for years.
We lost all seven in recent times. This website, and every bed that leaves our workshop, exists because of them. It is how we keep going. It is how we make sure another dog, somewhere, gets to fall asleep on something soft, safe and made with the same love we gave ours.
