Irish Wolfhound Dog Bed: Fit, Six Legs & Irish Craft

An Irish Wolfhound needs a bed chosen for their actual sleeping shape, not just a label saying “extra large”. KosieCare makes a dedicated Wolfhound raised dog bed in Ferns, Co. Wexford: €175, 6 legs, rust-coloured PVC canvas and a galvanised steel frame. Joan confirms fit and delivery before you order.

Choosing an Irish Wolfhound dog bed: measure first

Those long legs can make a curled-up hound look smaller than they are. Watch how your dog rests: fully stretched out, on their side, or tucked into a corner. Measure the space they use in that position, then measure the place where the bed will sit.

1. Record your dog’s relaxed sleeping length and width in centimetres.
2. Measure the available floor space and doorways the frame must pass through.
3. Send Joan those measurements, your dog’s weight and a photo of their sleeping position.
4. Ask for the usable canvas dimensions, overall frame dimensions and height before paying.

We have not published a verified Wolfhound weight limit or exact frame measurements here. Please request them from Joan rather than assuming every giant-breed bed fits every Wolfhound. For more help, read the dog-bed sizing guide.

The €175 KosieCare Wolfhound bed: six legs, made in Ireland

The Wolfhound bed is handmade to order in rust only. Its six-leg frame supports the larger format. The Giant size also has six legs and costs €155; do not choose solely by the breed name. Compare the space your dog needs with the actual canvas area.

A tensioned PVC canvas surface avoids the foam, zips and removable covers of a padded bed. It wipes clean with soapy water. A raised bed and a padded mattress feel different: your dog’s preference matters. Ask your vet about comfort requirements if your hound has pain or mobility difficulties; this guide does not promise a medical benefit.

Raised and waterproof dog beds: what Irish owners search for

Semrush’s Ireland database, checked 27 October 2026, estimates the monthly searches below. These are national estimates—not Wolfhound-owner counts or forecasts of sales. The longer phrase “Irish Wolfhound dog bed” had no reported estimate; its demand is unknown.

The useful takeaway is to compare fit, construction and cleaning—not chase the biggest search number. Our raised-bed guide and waterproof-bed guide explain those choices in more detail.

Irish Wolfhound beds delivered to Wexford and Wicklow

Joan makes the beds near Ferns, not at a branch in every town. Delivery enquiries are welcome across Co. Wexford and Co. Wicklow, including rural addresses. See the town and village directory; tell Joan your town and Eircode so she can confirm the cost and timing.

Buying for a puppy? The Irish Wolfhound Club’s puppy preparation advice includes a large comfortable bed and notes that beds may need upsizing as a puppy grows. This is an independent breed-care reference, not an endorsement of KosieCare.
