Choosing a dog bed in Greystones
Greystones dogs swim. Not paddle — swim. The harbour beach on a summer evening is half labrador.
A soaked eighty-pound retriever coming in the back door is the fastest way to kill a fabric dog bed ever invented, and it's the single most common reason people from this part of Wicklow get in touch. The bed they had is sour, the cover shrank in the wash, and they've had enough.
There's nothing clever about the fix. Waterproof canvas, stretched tight, on a frame that lifts the dog off the floor so air moves underneath. It dries because it can. Joan has beds in Greystones houses that are years old and still on the original canvas.
Search demand in Greystones itself is small — Semrush (Ireland) shows roughly 20 searches a month for "pet shop Greystones" — but the town's dog owners search nationally instead: "dog beds Ireland" runs around 880 a month. This page is written for both.

Greystones — frequently asked
Do you deliver dog beds to Greystones and Delgany?
Yes — Greystones, Delgany, Kilcoole and Newtownmountkennedy are all on the northern delivery run from the Ferns workshop in Co. Wexford.
Is the bed suitable for a dog that swims in the sea?
It's built for exactly that. Salt water and sand wipe straight off the PVC canvas, and the raised frame lets air move underneath so nothing stays damp. No cover to wash.
Can I see a bed before I buy in Wicklow?
Joan brings beds to craft markets around the south-east, and the workshop in Ferns is open Monday to Friday 9–5 if you'd like to see and feel one first. Message her and she'll tell you where she'll be next.
